Upon arriving at the Sea of Trees, I dismounted from my horse and entered the forest, surrounded by knights. This was my first time entering the Sea of Trees. Just as I psyched myself up, thinking, “Alright, I’m going to explore and gather some good materials,” I felt my Mana decrease for some reason. That’s strange. Why would I be consuming Mana when I haven’t even used my Production Skill yet?

The inside of the forest had more sunlight filtering through than I expected; it was quite bright. “I thought it would be gloomier and darker.”

“The depths of the Sea of Trees are certainly dark, but the shallow parts are like this. Even so, monsters do appear, so we must not let our guard down.”

“I see. I’ll be careful not to wander off into the depths on my own.”

I proceeded while using Appraisal on the objects around me. After walking for a while, I found a tree that looked good, so I stored several of them into my inventory while they were still rooted in the ground. It was convenient because I didn’t have to cut them down, which saved a lot of time. “Ooh, is this Storage Magic? What a convenient thing to have.”

“Yeah, it’s because I have this magic that I thought I’d gather materials myself.” Since the interior of the Sea of Trees wasn’t leveled, the ground was uneven. Tree roots were sticking out, making it easy to trip and difficult to walk. And yet, for some reason, I was able to walk smoothly.

Liam seemed to notice the change in me as well. “Oh my, William-sama. Your movements have become quite good. It is almost as if you are using Body Strengthening Magic.”

“I shouldn’t be able to use Body Strengthening Magic, though.”

After proceeding a bit further, I heard a snapping sound, and something came falling down right in front of my eyes. “Whoa!” I dodged instantly. It seemed a dead tree branch had fallen. When I turned around, Liam had already drawn his sword and was cutting the branch away.

“Are you alright? …No, it seems you were able to dodge it yourself, even without me shielding you.” Liam‘s movements were too fast to see. As expected of him. Even so, to think that the clumsy me could move so agilely. Maybe I really am using Body Strengthening Magic naturally without even realizing it.

As we advanced through the Sea of Trees, monsters like rats and dogs appeared occasionally, but the knights defeated them immediately. Apparently, much larger monsters appear in the deeper parts of the Sea of Trees. I moved along, gathering various things. Perhaps thanks to the Body Strengthening Magic, when I tried to climb a tree to get some fruit growing high up, I was able to shimmy up smoothly.

It’s fun to have my body move the way I want it to. “Is your Mana okay?” “Hmm, I don’t feel like it’s decreased that much.”

“No, that is a tremendous amount of Mana. Honestly speaking, I am surprised.”

As we continued on, there was a plant that strangely caught my eye. It looked like nothing more than a weed, and I couldn’t think of a use for it right now. However, I had a premonition that it would become necessary eventually. To ensure I wouldn’t regret it later, I decided to store it and take it home for the time being. In the end, I moved around the shallow parts of the Sea of Trees until the sun began to set.

The next morning, when I woke up, the joints of my body ached, and I couldn’t get up. According to Liam, who came to check on me, usually when one uses Body Strengthening Magic for an hour, their Mana nearly runs out, and even then, they suffer terrible muscle pain the next morning. Apparently, as you repeat this process several times, the magic adapts to the body, and it becomes manageable.

Since I had used Body Strengthening Magic for hours, it seems the backlash has hit me. “I was overwhelmed by William-sama’s Mana capacity and lost the timing to stop you. I am terribly sorry.”

“No, you aren’t at fault, Liam. I should have asked more about Body Strengthening Magic before moving around.” Even so, my body feels sluggish. I feel a bit feverish too.

I must have dozed off before I knew it. When I woke up, my mother was just placing a cool cloth on my forehead. “Oh my, Will-chan, are you awake?”

Taking care of someone like this isn’t very noble-like behavior. But Mother doesn’t care about such things. There was a time when I had a fever, and she let me use her lap as a pillow and fed me Bread Porridge. I feel a bit embarrassed, but I’m happy that her love is coming through.

“Ufufu, there is no need to apologize. You are quite mature for your age, so seeing you make a childlike mistake like this actually makes me feel relieved.” Perhaps reassured by Mother’s words, I fell asleep once again.

It was the following morning when I was finally able to get out of bed. When I changed clothes and tried to put on my trousers, they were loose and felt like they were about to slide down. Thinking it was strange, I put on my shirt, only to find it was baggy. And then, when I looked in the mirror in the room…

“Ehh? Who on earth is this!” Reflected in the mirror was a slender, beautiful young boy. He resembled my older brother, Eddie, and also had a gentle atmosphere similar to Mother. Wait, is this really me? Where did my chubby cheeks, double chin, and that jiggling belly go?

When I sat at the breakfast table, my family’s eyes also widened in shock. “Oh, Will. You’ve suddenly become slim.”

“My, I knew from the start that Will-chan was a handsome boy.”

“Brother, you have become even more wonderful.” I’m happy that my family is praising me, but it’s a somewhat complex feeling.

Now that I recall, I didn’t like exercise very much, and since the meals and sweets our chef makes are so delicious, I suppose I was eating too much. Unlike my original world, there are many simple dishes, but the Sauté using fresh meat and vegetables, the Soup, and the Pie using plenty of Butter are all truly delicious.

I had given up, thinking being chubby was just my individuality. To think that I, who am not even a Hero, became able to use Body Strengthening Magic and lost weight as a byproduct. Being a Producer seems to be quite deep, surprisingly. Losing weight without any struggle—if this were my original world, people would probably get angry at me. I suppose I should thank God.
