Chapter 197: The Birth of a Special Golem

The letter enclosed with the Adamantite gifted by Imperial Prince Ernst read as follows:

“I heard that the creations Lord William brought forth using Mithril played an active role in the battle against the massive monster horde. I am sure you will make effective use of this rare material as well.”

The active role of Mithril Golems, huh. The Prince must surely know about the Legatus Golem.

And to refer to them not as things I “made” but “brought forth”…

He seems to have a very accurate grasp of the situation.

Even so, I am grateful he sent the Adamantite.

It’s a precious material that is rarely mined in the Albion Kingdom.

There is the pressure of having to use it effectively, but as a Producer, I am still happy to be able to use precious materials.

As I was reminiscing about such things, Theo‘s words brought me back to reality.

“Master, when you say a new material, you mean the Adamantite gifted by His Highness Ernst, right?”

The fact that the Prince gifted the rare Adamantite is thanks to Flora making him promise to cooperate with me during the negotiations.

“Since you are using monster leader Mana Cores and Adamantite, I am sure you can bring forth amazing Golems, Master.”

“I hope so. Well then, I’ll begin.”

In addition to the leaders of the Magic Wolves and Magic Boars we defeated in the Woodpole defensive battle, there is also the Mana Core of the Magic Deer leader defeated in the decisive battle alongside the knight order.

Therefore, I can bring forth three Adamantite Golems.

Lining up the purified Mana Cores, Adamantite, and iron, I closed my eyes and concentrated.

I visualized Golems that would protect everyone from monsters with their robust Adamantite bodies, and normally play an active role in road construction and the development of the undeveloped lands.

Eventually, magic power welled up from deep within my body and gathered at the tip of my right hand.

The materials were enveloped in warm light.

A considerably larger amount of magic power drained from my body compared to when bringing forth a normal Golem.

When the light faded, a Golem shining in a dull black color was born.

It’s larger than an Iron Golem. And it looks incredibly sturdy.

The born Golem looked around and opened its mouth.

“NICE TO MEET YOU, MASTER.”

“Nice to meet you, Adamantite Golem. I look forward to working with you.”

It wasn’t as fluent as the Legatus Golem born from the Unique Species‘ Mana Core, but the Adamantite Golem could also converse.

After that, I brought forth the remaining two Adamantite Golems.

Having three of them lined up is quite impressive. They feel reliable.

“I’m thinking of giving names to the Adamantite Golems.”

“I see, considering they will be fighting monsters, it would be better for them to have names individually.”

“Since the number of Adamantite Golems might increase in the future, how about using numbers?”

“That’s a good idea. Oliver-sensei, was ‘Legatus’ a word from the world William-san originally came from?”

“Yes, it is Latin. However, Latin numbers are a bit difficult to pronounce, so how about Italian? It seems 1 to 4 would be Uno, Due, Tre, Quattro.”

“The ring to it sounds somewhat stylish.”

Letty seemed to like it.

Since everyone else agreed, it was decided that the Adamantite Golems would be called Uno, Due, and Tre.

“Now then, next I will bring forth a Golem from the purified Mana Core of the Unique Species Magic Wolf.”

“Master, is your magic power alright?”

“Yeah. Since it will likely be a special Golem, it will require a lot of magic power, but I think I’ll be fine for one more.”

My magic capacity, which was already large to begin with, has increased even more after the Woodpole defensive battle.

Since I’m using the purified Unique Species‘ Mana Core as the nucleus, it will surely become a special Golem like Legato.

That’s why I wanted to bring it forth when all the Apostles were gathered.

Now, what materials should I use?

Let’s use Mithril, just like with the Legatus Golem.

I feel like it would be good to add Adamantite as well.

It’s somewhat of a vague feeling, but my Production Skill tells me so.

Especially regarding Golems, I feel as if I am being guided by the World Tree even when we are far apart.

I concentrated on the image.

As a leader for the Golems, I visualized a Golem that would play an active role both in the development of the undeveloped lands and in battles against monsters.

I wished for a reliable Golem like Legato to be born.

Magic power welled up from deep within my body and gathered at the tip of my right hand.

I felt a massive chunk of magic power being taken away, even more so than with the Adamantite Golems.

When the warm light wrapping the materials faded, a bicolored Golem of silver and black was born there.

Its appearance is slender, but I can feel the immense power hidden within.

“Nice to meet you, Master. And everyone who is an Apostle.”

Ah, it possesses high intelligence as expected.

It has somewhat of an aura, too. It’s probably stronger than the Legatus Golem.

It was decided that this Golem would be crowned with “Dux,” meaning commander in Latin, and be called the Dux Golem.

It will surely become a great power for us.
