Chapter 46: Home After a Long Time
I finally returned home. There were so many unexpected things in Winchester that I was completely exhausted. The day I returned, after saying “I’m home” to Mother and Sister, I collapsed onto my bed and fell asleep without eating dinner.
When I woke up the next morning and sat down for breakfast, it seemed Father had already spoken to Mother and Sister. Father is tough.
“Good morning, Will-chan. You must be tired. Did you sleep well? Father told me everything. Cheering up Her Highness Flora was admirable.”
Ahaha, it’s just like Mother to talk about helping people rather than the peerage.

After breakfast, we discussed the reward money in Father‘s Office. Father told me to use half of the 1,000 Platinum Coins reward. But I insisted that since I was going to receive a Peerage as a reward, the Fairchild House reward should be used by Father. Since Father insisted that the achievements were thanks to me, we eventually agreed that 300 Platinum Coins would be used for the Workshop.
300 Platinum Coins is 300 million yen. That is an enormous sum of money that I cannot visualize. I don’t think I ever had any connection to that much money in my past life. What should I use it for?
I went to the Workshop and heard from Theo and Mabel about how things went during my absence. It seems they are steadily producing Streptomycin and Syringes. I can use Body Strengthening Magic reasonably well now, so I can at least escape if anything happens.
Our Territorial Capital has become quite lively with new buildings and an increase in population. I feel like the number of Stalls has also increased. However, time flows slowly here compared to Winchester. Carriages of other nobles rarely pass by, so I can relax.
That reminds me, since I received a lot of money, I should ask the Elves and Dwarves who cooperated with my manufacturing if there is anything they need. With that thought, I visited the Elves’ Hidden Village, but they told me it was only natural to cooperate with the Savior. Instead, they gave me Skewered Meat, saying they had hunted a good boar. I couldn’t refuse when they said, “Won’t you eat it with Theo?” Ugh, not only would they not accept my thanks, but they gave me a gift to take home.
