Chapter 71: The Three of Us Go Out for the First Time in a While

“Since we’ve attached the logo mark, next is advertising.” Oliver, enthusiastic about turning the workshop into a brand, now seems to be thinking about advertising the workshop.

“Let’s have people who are admired by those around them carry the workshop’s products, making many people think, ‘I want to be like that person too.’ Fortunately, there are many popular people around Lord William.”

And so, the ones Oliver gathered were my childhood friend Letty, my sister Sophie, and for some reason, me. Letty is a beautiful girl, and Sophie is cute, so I understand that.

“Why was I gathered too?” “Oh, are you surprised? The number of boys who look up to Lord William is increasing, and you are popular with the girls too, you know.”

I can’t really believe that myself. I was chubby until recently. I doubt it would be much of an advertisement even if I showed off carrying the products.

But Oliver seems confident. That is why I am walking through the square in Northernford with Letty and Sophie. Today is Sunday. Incidentally, the calendar of this world is the same as my original world.

In this world, like in Edo-period Japan, there are many jobs without holidays, but since some people rest on Sundays, there is a lot of foot traffic. In the square at the center of the town, there are also stalls selling vegetables and fruits.

Both Letty and Sophie are decked out in clothes and bags made by the workshop. Recently, the workshop’s craftsmen have started making stylish clothes as well. Since we’ve been making bags since the workshop started, many people know about them.

Letty is dressed in a young-lady-like fashion: a one-piece dress made of white fabric with embroidered decorations, and a wide-brimmed hat. She has a dark brown shoulder bag hanging from her shoulder. And the W&F logo is included to a degree that isn’t tasteless.

Until now, I had only seen her in training knight gear or gorgeous dresses worn at noble parties, so this is refreshing. The casual yet stylish clothes today suit her well.

As I was staring blankly, Letty grinned. “What’s wrong, Will? Could it be you were captivated?” “Yeah. Letty is beautiful to begin with, and with casual clothes like today, there’s a lovely charm to you. I thought it suited you well.”

Letty showed a surprised expression for a moment, then immediately turned bright red. “Stop saying things like that without thinking deeply about them.” I answered honestly, so why am I getting scolded?

My sister Sophie is wearing a pale lemon-colored dress cinched with a brown leather belt. A fresh green beret highlights her cuteness. Hanging from her shoulder is a light blue shoulder bag.

“Sophie, it suits you very well.” “Really?” Yeah, a shy Sophie is cute today too.

Oliver, who is following behind us, is wearing no makeup and is dressed in a plain shirt and trousers. Even so, he is an androgynous beautiful boy, but he has pulled his hat down low and is wearing non-prescription glasses with black frames. “Today, I am a stagehand.”

“Oliver is beautiful, so wouldn’t it be good advertising if you wore the workshop’s clothes?” “I exist outside the bounds of common sense, so there is no one who admires me.” I wonder if that’s true.

The three of us, Letty, Sophie, and I, walk through the cobblestone square. “It’s been a while since I walked through the town with Big Sister Letty.” Sophie wears a beaming smile.

My sister calls Letty “Big Sister.” Since she doesn’t have an older sister in the family, she looks up to Letty, who is slightly older and a close family friend, like a real sister.

“That’s right. When we were little, the three of us used to play together often, but everyone has become busy lately.” “Come to think of it, it has been a while since we went out together.”

Letty seems to be devoted to sword training, and Sophie is working hard on her studies. I have the workshop’s work too, so opportunities for the three of us to spend time together are decreasing.

As we walked leisurely, a gust of wind suddenly blew. “Ah!” Letty‘s hat was blown off. Since the brim is wide, it catches the wind easily. I instinctively ran and jumped, managing to catch it successfully.

“Here you go.” When I handed her the hat, Letty was surprised. “Thank you. But somehow, it throws me off. You used to be chubby and bad at sports.”

“Fufu, I’m different from the old me.” “You really are. Now you’ve become famous for your amazing Production Skill, you lead a large workshop… and to top it off, you’ve lost weight and become cool.” Huh? She’s supposed to be praising me, but for some reason, Letty sounds like she’s sulking.

“Even though I thought of you like a little brother, it’s a complicated feeling somehow.” I can’t ignore those muttered words from Letty. “Ah, I heard that ‘little brother’ thing from Mother. Isn’t it strange when my birthday is earlier?” “Ufufu. But you looked so unconfident back then, so I thought I had to encourage you.”

“Somehow, Brother Will and Big Sister Letty seem to be getting along well; it’s a nice atmosphere.” “Indeed, I think they make a good couple too.” I could hear Sophie and Oliver talking. It’s incredibly embarrassing.

“Well, in the case of nobles, I suppose there are political marriages and various things. Lord William seems to be getting along well with Her Highness the Fourth Princess lately, too.” “Hmm, our family seems to be different from ordinary nobles and doesn’t think about political marriage.
