I’m the Only One Doing Sci-Fi in Another World… Right? [Serialization]
Author: Tokishin
Synopsis: Eiichi Takanashi, a middle-aged man just beginning to feel his years, was wandering through a forest filled with plants he had never seen before. Bewildered by surroundings that were clearly not Japan, he wondered how he had ended up in this situation.

He should have been dead—killed by a bear in the mountains of Japan—but when he awoke, he found himself in the body of a young boy he didn’t recognize. This boy’s body was bursting with vitality, possessing physical abilities that far outstripped even Olympic-class athletes.

He thought he might be getting a second chance at life, but he found himself in the middle of a vast, uninhabited forest. To make matters worse, the animals living there were full of malice and attacked him one after another. They even unleashed supernatural powers that seemed to defy the laws of physics, such as moving through the air and manipulating objects from a distance.

He couldn’t understand how animals were capable of such feats, but desperate to survive, the man fought back. In the heat of battle, he discovered that he, too, could wield these supernatural powers. It turned out that the local wildlife used these abilities as a matter of course; it was a “survival of the fittest” world where battles using these powers were an everyday reality.

While shocked to have landed in such an outrageous world, he was simultaneously stunned by the realization that there were no other people—just endless nature without a single man-made object in sight.

It seemed certain that he had been transported to another world. However, refusing to believe that he was the only human there, the man continued to wander the forest in search of others.
