Chapter 229: Let's Wander Around the Royal Capital

“Oliver, what’s the schedule for the workshop this coming weekend?”

“Please take this weekend off. I am reflecting on having given you too much work, after all.”

I wonder if my complaint about being busy with town planning despite being a student reached Oliver.

“No, I was doing the work because I wanted to, so it’s not something you need to worry about, Oliver.”

“No, no. Because you understand duty and social obligations, William-sama, I was taking advantage of your kindness. Please leave the rest to the workshop craftsmen.”

I ended up making Oliver worry.

“Then, I guess I’ll take this weekend off.”

“Yes. By the way, what will you do on your weekend off?”

“Hmm. I hadn’t really thought about it. Maybe I’ll just wander around the Royal Capital.”

In my previous world, I wasn’t an extrovert, so I didn’t do much after school. But wandering around town with classmates was fun.

“Please give them as presents to your two fiancées and the female classmates coming with you. Your standing will surely rise, William-sama.”

And so, having decided to wander around the Royal Capital on the weekend, I invited everyone from the Southern Development Research Society.

It seemed they had plans like sword and magic training, but they all adjusted their schedules for me.

El’s magic lessons from Luna were also on break this week.

Hearing about this, Sophie said, “I want you to take me along too,” so I went to pick her up in Northernford using Teleportation Magic.

Recently, Sophie has been matching her magic lesson times with the Elder to El’s schedule, so when I teleport El to the Elf Forest, they often end up going together.

Sophie and El have become quite good friends.

The night before, Sophie came to the Fairchild Ducal mansion in the Royal Capital and happily had tea with Letty.

When I brought the accessories Oliver gave me over to them, the color in their eyes changed.

“Will, where did you get these?”

“Where, you ask? Oliver gave them to me. Could you each pick one you like?”

“Wow, really, Brother? I’m so happy.”

Letty and Sophie happily started choosing together.

As expected of Oliver.

The next day, when I went to the meeting spot, El, Col, and Kate were already there.

“Wow, little Sophie. I’m so glad to see you in the Royal Capital.”

“Me too, El-san.”

Then, just as Sophie finished greeting Col and Kate, Flora arrived.

“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting.”

“No, the meeting time is still a bit later, so you’re not late, Flora.”

I took out my pocket watch and showed it to Flora.

“Flora-san, it’s been a while.”

“It’s been a while, Sophie-san.”

Once everyone was gathered, I brought out the items Oliver had given me.

“These are items made at the workshop, but could you all pick one you like?”

The bags and hats Oliver gave me have the W&F stamp engraved on them. That’s why even someone out of touch with fashion like me knows they are workshop-made.

“This is…”

Kate’s eyes went wide.

“These are one-of-a-kind items made by the W&F craftsmen, aren’t they? And could these perhaps be the rumored new models going on sale soon?”

“Eh? Really? Is it okay to accept something so amazing?”

El also became excited.

“Yeah, go ahead.”

The three of them, including Flora, started getting hyped up.

I, being out of touch with fashion, didn’t understand at all, but I’m glad everyone was happy.

Before long, as we were all walking through town, I felt gazes on us for some reason.

Even though we are incognito today, and both Flora and Letty have their hair tied up, are wearing hats, and have sunglasses on.

“Fufu, it’s only natural to draw attention if you’re wearing unreleased new items and one-of-a-kind pieces from W&F.”

“Eh, is that so, Kate?”

“Good grief. Even though you’re the representative, you really don’t understand the workshop’s items, do you, Will.”

While saying such things, we had a fun time looking at the market goods and eating street food at the stalls.

Ria and Gil are a short distance away, and although I can’t sense their presence, Flora’s twin guards should be around too. Probably El’s guards as well.

I’ve really put a burden on all the guards. I’ll bring them some refreshments later.

By the way, when walking with beautiful girls, piercing stares from men stab into you, but because Col is here, I feel much more at ease than if I were the only guy.

“Col, thanks for coming today.”

“What’s the matter, so suddenly?”

After walking for a while, it was brought up that we should enter a shop somewhere.

Yeah, this student-like development is nice.

“How about this shop?”

I guided everyone to a shop Oliver had told me about.

You’ll probably be tired of walking around this time, so I’ve made a reservation, was written on the memo Oliver had given me.

You’re amazing, Oliver. It’s exactly as you predicted.

“I hear this cafe is so popular that you can’t get reservations at all.”

“Is that so, El?”

As we approached the cafe, there was indeed a line of people formed.

“We have a reservation, so let’s go in.”

When I led everyone through the cafe’s entrance, the store manager was waiting.

“Well if it isn’t William-sama. We’ve been waiting for you.”

“Manager, excuse the intrusion.”

“Eh? Are you affiliated with this cafe, William-san?”

“Yeah. It’s a cafe put out by the workshop I represent. Though I’m only the representative in name, and Oliver practically manages it.”

In the cafe, we entered the private room reserved for us, and while looking out at the streets of the Royal Capital, we enjoyed delicious cakes and sweets.

“Today was fun.”

“Really, Letty? I’m glad, then. Well, it’s all thanks to Oliver, though.”

“Fufu. The reason Oliver goes this far is because it’s you, Will. Being able to receive support from those around you is also a testament to your personal virtue, so just act confident and stand tall.”

“I wonder.”

“Yes, she’s right. Excellent people gather around you, William-san. That is a wonderful thing.”

Both Letty and Flora are kind.

The people who have gathered around me aren’t just excellent, they’re kind too.

I think that is a very happy thing.

Thanks to them, today turned out to be a good day off.
